Join Elizabeth Marruffo as we explore the incredible life and times of English botanist Anna Atkins, who was one of the first women to take photographs. Atkins documented many plant and insects with her iconic, blue-tinted cyanotypes.

Across our eight-week term we will be experimenting with the same photographic exposures to create our paper and canvas cyanotypes. Students will practice drawing native flowers and plants along with moths and owls to embellish their cyanotype prints.

Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.

Saturday morning session runs at 9.30am – 11.00am from the 15th of February until the 5th of April

Saturday morning session runs at 11.30am – 1.00pm from the 15th of February until the 5th of April

Thursday afternoon session runs at 4:00pm – 5:30pm from the 20th February until the 10th of April

This course is recommended for ages 7+
