How do I get to Milktooth?

Milktooth is located at the historic Plaistowe Mews Chocolate Factory in West Perth, Suite 48, 102 Railway St.

You might be familiar with the location because the Tranport Licensing Centre is located in the same building and we are opposite Scitech.  We are also conveniently located right next to the West Perth Train Station.

The easiest way to get to Milktooth is from Railway St and then turning down Plaistowe Mews. You will keep going until the road becomes paved and then you will see the arched entry on your left, as in the photo below. Milktooth is just through there on your right.

If you are visiting us for the first time, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our location in the days leading up to your visit. If you do get lost on the day, simply call us on 0430441295 and we’ll be happy to help.

Here is a link to the Google Maps location.

Where can I park?

There are plenty of parking options around Milktooth. Most people will simply use the street parking on Plaistowe Mews to drop off and pickup students. During school holiday periods the street parking can be quite busy in which case there is a larger carpark around the back of Milktooth, by the Transport Licensing Centre.

If you are staying for longer, then we recommend parking under the Scitech Building. The parking there is undercover and free for the first two hours.

Please pay attention to the parking signs and adhere to their conditions as parking inspectors do check.

What do I need to bring?

We provide all the materials needed, so there is no need to bring brushes, pencils, pens or the like. It’s all covered.

A drink bottle is recommended and if you are coming for one of our day-long courses, then please pack a nut-free lunchbox as if attending school.

Can grown ups stay?

Milktooth is focused on the incredible creative journey of children, so while grown ups are welcome to visit and make sure their children are settling in, they’re not able stay during the workshop.

COVID health precautions

Milktooth has always prioritised the health and safety of students and staff in everything we do.

The simplest and most effective precaution we can take is for students and staff to not attend class if they have a high temperature, runny nose, are coughing, or if an immediate household member is unwell.

Not only will it put other students at risk, but also the teachers, who then might need to cancel further classes if they become unwell.

In addition to this, we will be putting in place the following precautions to ensure that the school is able to thrive.

Staff:

  • All staff are double-dose vaccinated and up to date with their boosters.
  • All staff wear face masks during delivery of their workshops.
  • Air purifiers and air humidifiers are set up in the studio.
  • Comprehensive ventilation is set up throughout the studio.

Students and Families:

  • Students must not attend class if they have a high temperature, runny nose or are coughing, or if an immediate household member is unwell.
  • While students are not required to wear masks, we do encourage it in order to limit the spread of any potentially contagious diseases.

COVID cancellation policy

If students are unable to attend their course due to COVID, we can arrange a flexible solution for them. This might be providing course materials for them to continue at home, a refund on missed sessions or access to make-up sessions if possible.

If Milktooth courses are unable to run due to COVID related reasons amongst teaching staff, then we will pause all courses until it is safe to resume the term. If there are not enough weeks left in the term to provide eight sessions, then we will refund the sessions that can not take place.
