Description
✨Rachel Ruysch – tulip mania✨
This term in Crafternoon we will be looking at the life and art of the most famous floral still life painters, Rachel Ruysch who used floral still lifes to symbolise powerful messages of the distinct stages of life.
We will be making small yarn tufted wall hangings based on our own interpretations of the life stages of the tulip flower, a flower that Ruysch was very famous for painting. Hanging from the tapestries base we will be able to suspend small textile crafted details inspired by Rusch’s paintings such as bees, butterflies, caterpillars, spiders and even water droplets.
Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.
