Important Note: all Saturday courses will not be running on Saturday the 29th of July. This is because the Perth Comic Arts Festival will be running that weekend. We encourage all students to attend the Festival as it’s a fantastic opportunity to see the local comics community in action.

This term in Comic Quest we’re going to be exploring the mind-bending science-fiction stories of Cyber Punk. From robotic limbs and electronic eyes, to organic computers and virtual realities, we’ll be wandering through the rain soaked back alleys of this crime filled genre.

During this term, we will be building both fundamental comics making skills as well as advanced drawing techniques. Essential skills such as narrative pacing, choosing the right moment for each panel and dialogue will be taught in depth alongside anatomy, perspective, shading and much more.

Comics is an incredible medium that combines aspects of visual arts, graphic design, calligraphy and literature into something wholly unique.

Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.

Thursday afternoon session runs at 4.00pm – 5.30pm from the 3rd of August until the 21st of September

Saturday morning session runs at 9.30am – 11.00am from the 22nd of July until the 16th of September

This course is recommended for ages 7+
