Description
✨Georgia O’Keeffe✨
This term in Applied Art we will be exploring the life and work of American artist Georgia O’keeffe, whose iconic paintings of flowers, open deserts and bleached bones were prized for their stunning beauty and elegance.
Across the eight week term we’ll be designing and fabricating a desert-inspired weaving. By looking at landscape patterns, textile techniques and colour theory, we will create unique works that capture the magic of the desert. As final adornments, we will design and sculpt small talismans that reference O’Keefee’s iconic skulls and flowers.
Applied Art is a fantastic opportunity for students to put their creative skills to use, designing and constructing usable work of art.
Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.
