This term in Comic Quest we’re going to be exploring the grand tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. From the tragic romance of Lancelot and Queen Guinevere, the noble purity of Galahad and the twisted betrayal of Mordred, we’ll be diving into these legendary stories.
Across eight sessions, each student will work towards retelling one Arthurian legend in comics form. At the end of the term, everyone’s stories will be collected and printed as one grand anthology that can be taken home.
During this term, we will be building both fundamental comics making skills as well as advanced drawing techniques. Essential skills such as narrative pacing, choosing the right moment for each panel and dialogue will be taught in depth alongside anatomy, perspective, shading and much more.
Comics is an incredible medium that combines aspects of visual arts, graphic design, calligraphy and literature into something wholly unique.
Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.
Thursday afternoon session runs at 4.00pm – 5.30pm from the 4th of May until the 22nd of June
Saturday morning session runs at 9.30am – 11.00am from the 29th of April until the 17th of June
