Description
✨Advanced Art – Genevieve Jones✨
Join master-painter Elizabeth Marruffo as she guides you through some of the painting techniques used by Genevieve Jones. From preparing compositions and transferring images, to working with pencils and watercolour, this course is going to provide students with a deep understanding of the way this artist worked.
In this one-day workshop we will focus on the life and work of American naturalist and artist, Genevieve Jones, whose set about to paint the nests and eggs of the 130 species of birds in her home of Ohio. Students will be looking at Jones’s work and using watercolours to complete colour studies of eggs, nests and plants. Students will be learning about colour mixing and gain an appreciation of Jones’s unique vision for arranging her striking compositions.
Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.
9.00am – 3.00pm on Wednesday the 2nd of October
This course is recommended for ages 10 +
Note for New Students: No previous experience with painting is required in order to join this class, however it is suited to older students as the process we teach does require students to be patient and have the ability to maintain interest in a single project.
