This term in Junior Art we will be taking a deep dive into the world of the adorable to distill the formula for what makes cute things EXTREMELY cute!

Across the eight week term we’ll be analysing the masters of cute – like Sanrio, Miffy and Pusheen. By studying the formula for cute we will draw, paint and design our way through a range of delightful projects. First, we’ll study the art of super-flat graphics, with bold, simple shapes and powerful colour blocking. We’ll then learn how these super-flat designs can be softened using gentle shading techniques to give your designs volume.

We will use the cute-formula we’ve studied and design our very own unique characters that we’ll will make paintings of.

Finally we will turn our custom designed cuties into 3D sculptures to take home.

Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.

Thursday afternoon session runs at 4:00pm – 5:30pm from the 9th of May until the 27th of June

Saturday morning session runs at 9.30am – 11.00am from the 4th of May until the 22nd of June

Saturday morning session runs at 11.30am – 1.00pm from the 4th of May until the 22nd of June

This course is recommended for ages 7+
