Join master-painter Elizabeth Marruffo as she guides you through the traditional painting techniques she learnt while studying in Florence. From preparing compositions and transferring images, to working with oil paints this eight week course is going to provide students with a deep understanding of the way a modernist artist worked.
This term will have a particular focus on the life and work of French painter Marie Laurencin, whose works were prized for their delightful depictions of dogs and ethereal figures. Students will leave the course having complete a range of small studies and finished paintings with a refreshing take on traditional techniques.
