✨Marie Laurencin- soft silk paintings, bespoke jewels✨
This term in Crafternoon we will be making work inspired by the life and work of the French artist Marie Laurencin.
We will use organic materials including avocados and onion skin to solar dye silk for our silk scarf paintings. Students will look closely at the simple and gentle line work of Laurencins dog, horse and bird artworks to design their own colourful versions ready to transfer on to silk. We will practice polymer clay techniques for creating our own beads and jewelry. Our small class size of only 12, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.
Students will leave with a custom designed silk scarf and a range of polymer clay jewellry
