✨The Delicate Dynamism of Marie Laurencin✨
Join master-painter Elizabeth Marruffo as she guides you through super useful oil painting techniques. From preparing compositions and transferring images, to clever colour mixing and gestural mark making, this two day course is going to provide students with a deep understanding of the way a modernist artist worked.
This holiday will have a particular focus on the life and work of French painter Marie Laurencin, whose works were prized for their delightful depictions of dogs and ethereal figures. Students will leave the course having complete a range of small studies and finished paintings with a refreshing take on traditional techniques.
Students should expect to develop their mastery of oil painting techniques and processes. Please note all materials are solvent free and safe however old clothes should be worn to these classes.
Our small class size of only 10, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.
All materials and an afternoon tea fruit platter will be provided for each day. Please bring a nut free snack and lunch as well as a water bottle.
Wednesday and Friday from 10.00am – 4.00pm on the 19th and 21st of April
NOTE: There is a one-day break between the two days of this workshop to allow time for the paintings to dry.
