Join master-painter Elizabeth Marruffo as she guides you through super fun oil painting techniques for beginners. Students will be working with a limited palette of oil colours and will be mesmerised at the range of colours that can be produced. From colour mixing, transferring images, preparing compositions and experimenting with mark making and layering, this two-day masterclass provides students with a deep understanding of the way a modernist artist worked.
This masterclass will have a particular focus on the life and work of French painter Marie Laurencin, whose works were prized for their delightful depictions of dogs and ethereal figures. Students will leave the course having complete a range of small studies and finished paintings with a refreshing take on traditional techniques.
Our small class size of only 10, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.
All materials and an afternoon tea fruit platter will be provided for each day. Please bring a nut free snack and lunch as well as a water bottle.
