Description

Cockatoos and Magpies, Fairy Wrens and Boobooks. Western Australia is home to a fine array of feathered friends.

Join master painter Elizabeth Marruffo as she guides you through the steps of carefully painting one of the beautiful birds that call this place home.

In this workshop, students will:
– Select one of our prepared bird images to work from
– Use graphite and rubbing pencils to transfer the bird image on to their watercolour paper
– Use a limited palette of watercolours to lay down tonal values
– Use a limited palette of watercolours to develop up the colour of the painting.
– Use water, brushes and watercolour paint to paint their bird

Our small class ratio of 1 teacher to 8 students, means that each student will get the feedback and attention they need in order to achieve their best outcome.
